Nepal-China-Tibet fair in the offing

Kathmandu, September 9:

Businesspersons associated with the Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries (FNCSI) are all set to go to Lhasa, Tibet to participate at the Nepal-China-Tibet Economic and Trade Fair 2005 to be organised from September 15 to 19. A total of 40 Nepali exhibitors are going to participate at the fair. A delegation of 152 businesspersons are going to observe the fair, said the statement. According to a press statement issued by FNCSI, this fair is held turn by turn in Nepal and Tibet every two years.

Products such as Nepali carpet, Thanka products, Dhaka, Pashmina, handicraft products and toys are being displayed at the fair. President of FNCSI, Ang Dendi Sherpa and secretary general Suresh Pradhan are leading the delegation. On the sidelines of the trade fair, businesspersons will also discuss counterpart organisations in Tibet on ways to expand trade and business relationship, said the statement. Suresh Pradhan, on behalf of the federation will present a paper on trade and investment related information touching upon Nepal and Tibet trade and investment opportunities at one of the talks programmes to be held in Tibet on the sidelines of the trade fair.
