Nepal Development Bank bags award

Kathmandu, June 4:

Nepal Development Bank Ltd (NDBL) has bagged ‘ADFIAP Development Bank Award’ for its services to the education and infrastructure sector in Nepal. According to the press statement issued by the bank, ADFIAP is represented in 33 countries of the Asia Pacific region, which is the largest of its kind. Nepal, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, China, Japan and Philippines are also included as member countries of this association and a total of 65 banks have become the member.

B K Man Singh, general manager of NIDC, was one of the participants at the assembly. Uttam Pun, chairman of the bank and general manager, Om Basu Dev Lal Maskey participated in the assembly in Kazakhstan. The award was given to NDBL by the prime minister of Kazakhstan. Pun, after receiving the award, termed the award as an honour for the nation. He was quoted as saying in the press statement that NDBL is providing special financial assistance to the educational sector.
