Nepal takes part in ‘Chalo Jai TTE 2005’

Kathmandu, August 4:

Nepali tourism products and destinations were highlighted at the recently concluded ‘Chalo Jai TTE 2005’ Travel Mart, which was organised at the Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata, India.

The Royal Nepali Consulate General in Kolkata took part in the mart on behalf of Nepali tourism industry by putting up a ‘Nepal Stall’. More than 3,000 people visited the Nepali stall and were interested to enquire about tourism products in Nepal. The mart was also visited by forest minister of West Bengal, Jogesh Chandra Barman. Most visitors inquired about the security situation in Nepal and special tourism packages for Indians. The Nepali consul Dr Govinda Prasad Kusum answered queries and issues raised at the mart and reiterated that every Indian can have hassle-free journey to Nepal as a safe destination. One of the lucky winners of the raffle drawn at the Nepal stall was awarded complimentary 3 nights/4 days holiday package for a couple at a Five Star Hotel in Kathmandu and ten winners were given CD, books and postcards on Nepal.
