Nepal Telecom expands 3G service to all districts of Nepal

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Telecom on Thursday said it expanded the 3G mobile service to all 75 districts of the nation.

Issuing a press statement today, the company said the service had been made available in Dunai of Dolpa and Simikot of Humla as well.

Earlier, the service was available in 73 districts except Dolpa and Humla.

The service was launched in Dunai on Wednesday while it was launched in Simikot today.

The NT had begun the 3G service on May 17, 2007. The service was initially available inside the Ring Road in Kathmandu Valley only.

The service would enable users to use voice and data services at a higher speed on their phones.
