Nepali traders urged to participate in Ambiente India slated for June

Kathmandu, March 28

Messe Frankfurt — an international trade fair organiser — has urged Nepali traders, especially handicraft traders, to participate in Ambiente India that begins in New Delhi, India, from June 20.

Ambiente India is a premier trade event of Messe Frankfurt for homeware, interior décor and gift articles targeting business visitors across India.

Speaking at a programme in the Capital today, Priyanka Pawar, group exhibition head of Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India, said that India has a huge market for products from around the world.

“As a result of the huge population of more than 1.2 billion, the Indian market is gigantic and diversified where any product can be consumed,” Pawar said. According to her, Nepal produces attractive and culture-specific handicraft products that can have high value in the Indian market.

On the occasion, Pawar also informed that Ambiente India has announced of a special offer for Nepali traders whereby traders from Nepal can book their stalls at INR 8,000 per square feet against 200 euros being charged from other international participants. “Through the event, we will create an opportunity for international products to brand themselves in the Indian market,” she added.

Pawar also informed that the Ambiente India this year will have organic pavilion to promote organic food products, young entrepreneurs’ pavilion that promotes special start-ups and hospitality day, among others as special attractions. “In fact, the show is a sourcing hub for the retail sector in India,” she stated.

Other than Ambiente, Messe Frankfurt also organises various other shows globally every year that includes Christmas World, Paper World, Automechanika, Tendence, Heimtextile, Apparel Sourcing, Shawls and Scarves, Home Textile, among others.
