Nepal’s natural wonder highlighted
KATHMANDU: Nepal Tourism Board organised Nepal’s participation at World Travel Market from November 7 to 9 with a contingent of more than 24 travel trade representatives from Nepal as part of tourism promotion in the United Kingdom.
Furthermore, it accomplished Destination Showcase in London and Sales Mission in Manchester on November 9 and 10 respectively, as per a media release. The UK tourism promotion initiative was headed by Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jiwan Bahadur Shahi. Sales mission at New Castle is yet to follow on November 14. The programmes coincided at a time when 200 years of diplomatic relations between Nepal and UK (1816 to 2016), fast recovery of tourism post earthquake and the recent visit of Prince Harry to Nepal which has added impetus for tourism revival.
