NIC bank’s new scheme

Kathmandu, September 29:

NIC Bank has brought a unique scheme ‘Banking on Youth’ to disseminate basic knowledge of banking and money management amongst the children.

“Banking on Youth is a programme to teach children basic knowledge of banking and cultivate savings habit,” states press release issued here today by the bank.

Not only children but also a very large population is out of reach from banking services despite increasing number of banks.

The program aims to give presentation at schools about banking, money management, savings and its importance, invite students to various branches of the bank to provide them with practical knowledge, and organise quiz contests and oratory programmes on banking, savings, money management among schools.
