KATHMANDU: NMB Bank, as part of its corporate social responsibility, has in association with ICIMOD successfully provided 11 varieties of seeds of non-seasonal vegetables worth Rs 850,000 to farmers in Saptakoshi-4.

With the objective to provide support to commercial farming, the bank has distributed seeds of non-seasonal vegetables, cash crops and food crops to 123 farmers, as per a media release.

The handover ceremony also included inauguration of 23 solar power irrigation pumps for farmers by CGIAR Research Programme on Water, Land and Ecosystems (WLE) project and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). — HNS
