KATHMANDU: In consideration of the difficulties faced by quake victims in receiving technical advice to rebuild houses abiding by safe building code, the executive committee meeting of National Reconstruction

Authority (NRA), led by CEO Yubraj Bhusal has decided to deploy at least one engineer in each ward of the municipalities and rural municipalities of the 14 hardest hit districts. The Ministry of Urban Development has been authorised to deploy the engineers to the local levels. The meeting of NRA executive committee held on Wednesday has decided to ensure at least one technician in each ward to expedite construction of quake-resilient houses in coordination with MoUD. The meeting also decided to deploy sufficient number of engineers in less affected 17 districts.
