KATHMANDU, MAY 19

The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has taken part in the South Asia Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) being held in India to promote Nepal's tourism.

As many as 21 companies including the Nepal Airlines Corporation will attend the programme till May 20. SATTE is regarded as one of the most important tourism exchange fairs in South Asia.

The NTB is taking part in the exchange as part of its strategy in promoting tourism in neighbouring counties.

"India is Nepal's major tourism market because NTB has also worked to promote cross-border tourism, we anticipate that all these activities will increase the number of Indian tourist arrivals and promote Nepal," Chief Executive Officer of NTB Dhananjay Regmi said. Similarly, Director of NTB, Maniraj Lamichhane said the platform would aid in promotion of Nepal's tourism.
