NTB represents Nepal at tourism meet
Kathmandu, January 15:
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) participated in the Daily Telegraph Adventure Travel Show (ATS)2007 in Olympia, London held from January 12 to 14th, 2007 wherein European adventure enthusiasts got an opportunity to explore various adventure travel options.
As an adventurer’s delight, NTB offered a plethora of outdoor activities like mountaineering, trekking, rafting, jungle safari, paragliding, honey hunting, fishing, ultralight aircraft among others, informed an Nepal Tourism Board press release here.
The highlight of Visit Pokhara Year 2007 was also a major attraction at the show, the release said.
ATS is a travel show where visitors and exhibitors across the globe share the same passion for travel and adventure under one roof. With more than 250 travel operators, equipment manufacturers, and travel media, the show registered the presence of 18,300 adventure seekers.
The show also offered various talk programmes, slide shows, and tourism presentations by experts on related subjects.
According to NTB, visitors had several queries pertaining to mountaineering and trekking in Nepal. NTB officials Pradeep Poudel, Deepak R Joshi, and Dhruba K C answered the queries of visitors. According to the release, the country’s branding as ‘’Naturally Nepal. Once is not enough’’ was greatly appreciated by visitors.
Unlike previous occasions, during the show not a single visitor enquired about the security situation in Nepal, claimed the NTB release. The response towards Destination Nepal was evidently quite encouraging this time, it added.
