NTY steering panel meets UML chairman Khanal

KATHMANDU: To garner support and to seek commitment for the successful launch of Nepal Tourism Year-2011, members of the NTY steering panel today CPN-UML chairman Jhalanath Khanal to apprised him of latest developments regarding the launch of NTY-2011.

Nepal Tourism Board chief executive officer Prachanda Man Shrestha, NTY main steering committee member secretary Yogendra Shakya, NTY programme implementation committee national coordinator Suman Pandey, member Sita Ram Sapkota and Trekking Agents Association of Nepal president and NTY culture sub-committee coordinator Krishna Aryal briefed Khanal about the launch of NTY-2011 under the banner ‘Together for Tourism’.

Khanal told the delegation the agenda of development had been stalled due to the fluid political situation. Requesting all concerned to create an atmosphere of consensus, he assured that he and his party would extend all support for NTY-2011. He reiterated his readiness to sign a commitment paper on behalf of his party for the campaign.
