Damauli, October 9:

Tanahu district this year produced oranges worth around Rs 60-70 million, according to the District Agriculture Development Office.

The district has produced oranges almost of the same amount last year also. The adequate rainfall is said to have helped increase orange production.

Aanbukhaireni, Bandipur, Tanahusur, Jamune, Ghansikuwa, Kyamin, Baidi, Kota and Kahun VDCs have been selected as a pocket-region for orange cultivation.
