Participants, exhibitors exude keenness
Kathmandu, May 20:
Just three days ahead of the curtains of Annapurna Post Ambition -2007 to formally being raised, exhibitors and participants are enthusiastically looking forward to add colour to the event.
The second edition of Ambition, an exclusive mega education and career expo, organised by Annapurna Post is being held at Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall, Kathmandu from May 23 to 27.
The annual event last year had brought together more than 55,000 students, parents, teachers, educationists, consultants, and public under a single roof. Asia Pacific Communication Associates Nepal (Pvt) Ltd APCA (Nepal), the organiser of the event, is looking forward to lure more than 100,000 visitors during the five-day event this year.
“Contemplating last year’s success, we look forward to even better response this
year,” says Pankaj Jalan, director (administration) at Lord Buddha Education Foundation (LBEF), which is also the co-sponsor of the event.
According to him, LBEF has already been established as a pioneer in providing quality education in the field of IT, management, biotechnology and many other career-oriented subjects. Besides imparting education, LBEF has also ventured into abroad study consultancy and university placement in Australia.
Rupendra Maharjan, manager of Global Career Consultancy is also equally excited to float services and solutions related to university admissions and job placement abroad during the event. According to him, Global Career Consultancy is a representative unit of the US-based Global Placement Specialist Inc. (GPS), which offers university and job placement for right candidates in the US.
GPS serves as a local guardian for international students in US, which also offers full scholarships of up to four-year study in the US, he informed. Though GPS is relatively new in Nepal, we are hopeful that we will be able to attract a good number of aspiring students and professionals, Maharjan said.
Within the short span of two years, Ambition has established itself as a one-stop venue for
all career and educational needs and services, where more than two dozen educational institutes come together offering courses ranging from ICT to journalism, fashion
to chartered accountancy, management to medical education, and liberal arts to biotechnology.
Apart from academic institutions, over a dozen career and abroad study consultancies will help you to browse through to find the right place, right university and right subject to study further across the globe.
“We are hopeful that the event will provide a platform for abroad study consultants like us to introduce services and courses we have been offering to prospective students,” says Navin Singh, manager at Vertex Educational Consultancy, which specialises in counseling and university placement in UK and Australia.
