KATHMANDU:

Ram Krishna Manandhar has been elected to the post of chairman of Sagarmatha Insurance Co Ltd (SICL) from the 124th meeting of board of directors held here last Friday. Manandhar is also the chairman of Image Channel Pvt Ltd and National Finance Ltd. The post of chairman at SICL had remained vacant following the demise of Hulas Chand Golchha on June 29, 2007. Lokmanya Golchha, chairman of Golchha Organisation, has been appointed as director, states a press release.
