Road under construction
Rasuwa, June 26:
Equipment for constructing a temporary bridge over Lende Khola and for the construction of Syafrubesi-Rasuwagadhi road has started coming from Tibet.
The equipment is being brought for the construction of a 16-km road linking Tibet Autonomous Region of China (TARC) with Syafrubesi via Rasuwagadhi as per the agreement
with Hongji Group, a contractor company, on December 17, 2007.
The construction of the temporary bridge will move ahead within 15 days, said divisional engineer Mahesworlal Shrestha. There will be 11 bridges, big or small, along the road and the temporary bridge will be 7.5 metres wide.
The road will be 4.5 meters wide, said Shrestha.
According to chief district officer (CDO) of Rasuwa district Uddhav Bahadur Thapa, the construction will be supervised by Nepali experts in the historical Gadhi area.
“The concerned officials have inspected the area,” he said adding that the conservation of the historic area was important.
