Hyundai Tucson:

Kathmandu: The new Hyundai Tucson is finally here in Nepal, after its European unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show and its international debut at the Detroit Auto Show.

Tucson is the company’s first entry into the SUV segment and is the second Hyundai SUV to be named after a city in the southwestern US. Thanks to the combination of lighter weight and optional V-6 engine, Hyundai Tucson is capable of exceptional dynamic performance.

The Tucson shows fine proportions, which disguise the actual roominess of the interior.

Two versions are available in Tucson namely GL and GLS. Both the versions feature Hyundai’s proven 2.0-litre CRDi 4-cylinder diesel engine with four-wheel-drive in both versions.

Kia Motors’ Mesa:

Kathmandu: Kia Motors has released the first images of the KCD-II, also known as the ‘Mesa’. The new, rugged looking sport utility vehicle (SUV) is scheduled to be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, US. Yong-Hwan Kim, senior executive vice president and chief operating officer of Kia Motors said, “The Mesa exemplifies the future of the SUV market and is a good glimpse into the dynamic exterior designs to come from Kia Motors.”

The Mesa is the second Kia concept vehicle to be developed by the Kia California Design Center in Irvine, California. The new vehicle is a modern, rugged body-on-frame SUV that features three rows of seats, dual full-length sunroofs and an expansive 116-inch wheelbase. — HNS
