JIRI: The People's Hydro Cooperative Ltd, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, is going to construct Khimti-2 Hydropower Project at a cost of Rs 7.50 billion.

The company shared the information at a programme organised in Jiri of Dolakha district.

Jiri Municipality and Hawa VDC of Dolakha as well as Rasnalu VDC of Ramechhap district would be affected by the hydel project.

The construction task of the project would be completed by mid-April 2021 if no any obstruction surfaced. The project would start generating power from late 2021, it is learnt.

The project would produce 48.8 Megawatts electricity.
