Rumpum announces bravery award

Kathmandu, June 27:

Asian Thai Foods Pvt Ltd, manufacturer of the popular Rumpum noodles, has announced its “Rumpum Bravery Award” for acts of outstanding bravery and courage.

The first Rumpum Bravery Award will go to 13-year old Kamal Nepali, who risked his life to rescue two-year old Aradhana Pradhan from a gorge near Seti River in Pokhara of Kaski district, according to the company.

A panel of judges at Asian Thai Foods Pvt Ltd will select and honour individuals displaying outstanding bravery in all walks of life. The award comprises a trophy and cash prize, said a press release. The awardee’s photo will also be endorsed on Rumpum noodle packets.

According to the company, this award is meant to serve as a symbol of corporate appreciation

of individual courage and compassion and has been instituted as a gesture of thankfulness to Kamal Nepali and other such courageous individuals in the future.
