Samsung workshop

KATHMANDU: Recently, Samsung (South Korea) collaborated with Better World in organising the ‘Samsung Employee Volunteer Programme’, with an aim to help develop and benefit young Nepali minds in the field of technology.

A team of 26 Samsung employees came down from South Korea and participated in the programme alongside Samsung Nepal employees, as per a media release. In an effort to help aspiring women entrepreneurs, Samsung team organised a special ‘Women Entrepreneurship Programme’ where they conducted graphic designing and Photoshop classes for them. Samsung team also imparted IT education to around 100 Nepali students and trained 10 computer teachers from seven different schools.

The IT equipment used for the training were brought from South Korea and donated to school when the programme ended.
