SCBN supports school

Kathmandu, December 9:

Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Ltd (SCBN) has supported Laboratory School, Kirtipur with five computers installed with a Job Access With Speech (JAWS) programme.

Sujit Mundul, CEO of SCBN handed over the computers — to Lakpa Sherpa, principal of Laboratory School — worth Rs 3,55,000.

The gesture of the Bank would help the visually impaired students of the school to be familiar with computer skills, which will eventually enable them to lead a respectable professional career.

On the occasion, Mundul said that Bank will continue to support ‘Youth, Health and Education’ sectors, apart from its two major initiatives — ‘Seeing is Believing’ and ‘Living with HIV’ in the future as well.

The banks are in recent days taking part in social activities as their CSR.
