KATHMANDU: The 10th general meeting of the Society of Economic Journalists-Nepal (SEJON) elected a 10-member executive committee here today.

Narayan Sapkota of Nagarik daily was elected president with 74 votes whereas his rival Sanjaya Neupane of Kantipur daily got 47 votes. Kuvera Chalise of The Himalayan Times was elected vice-president and Pradip Chapagain of Nepal Television general secretary, with 69 and 66 votes respectively. Bigyan Adhikari of Nagarik daily was elected secretary with 67 votes whereas Asha Thapaliya of Avenues Television was elected treasurer with 67 votes. Sudarshan Oli, Kamala Thapa, Lomas Joshi, Baburam Khadka and Suresh Neupane were elected committee members.
