KATHMANDU: Shikhar Insurance Co has bagged the title of highest taxpayer among non-life insurance companies for the fiscal year 2015-16.

During a recently held programme to mark the fifth National Tax Day in the Capital, Shikhar Insurance received the said award, according to a media release issued on Wednesday.

According to the company, it has been able to receive insurance premium of Rs one billion, an increase of 65 per cent compared to the previous year.
