Skill training centre to be established

Mahendranagar, January 6
Businessmen underscored a need of producing quality manpower within the country itself while speaking at an interaction programme organised here to establish Skill Training Centre yesterday.
The programme was organised jointly by the Kanchanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and local bodies.
Government has allocated budget in the current fiscal year to establish such training centres in each of the five development regions in the country.
Lok Bikram Thapa, member of executive committee of KNCCI and Mahakali zone representative said that the Skill Training Centre has been established with an aim of producing quality manpower for the far western development region.
Industrialists said that the training should focus on the need of the region. "The far western region is backward as there are very few industries in this region," they said.
Businessmen and chief of different organisations said that the training centre should produce quality manpower for the industries like, information technology, agriculture, soil, computer, hand made papers and processing herbs.

Raj Wagle, CDO and Baldev Bhatta, executive officer of Mahendranagar municipality also spoke on the occasion.
Mahendranagar municipality is providing land for the construction of the building for training centre whereas Kanchanpur District Development Committee is providing financial assistance.
However, government plans to establish such skill training centres in each of the five regions.
