Beijing, April 22:

Finding a job is not the easiest of tasks. But unemployed graduates in China are going job-hunting at a Buddhist temple. The Sleeping Buddha Temple at the Beijing Botanical Garden here has become the favourite hangout for college students, especially those having trouble finding a job, reports Xinhuanet. Interestingly, ‘Sleeping Buddha Temple’ in Mandarin sounds similar to the English word ‘office’, and many students have come to believe that hanging around the temple will bring them the blessing of a good job. Professor Cong Zhong from Peking University said the difficulty in finding a good job had put too much pressure on graduates, and they were resorting to such superstitious beliefs to find relief.
