Tenders floated for advisors for Indo-Iran gas pipeline

State-run Gail (India) Ltd today said the company has floated global tenders for appointment of both technical and legal advisors for the Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline project.
Soli Sorabjee, former attorney general of India, will be a part of a high-level team that will appoint the legal advisor for the Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline project, said a Gail India statement issued to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Gail India has been entrusted with the responsibility to appoint the technical and legal advisors for the Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline project, added the statement. Prior to floating the tender, a pre-tendering conference was held in which four global consultants - Tractebel Engineering, Worley Australia, PLE and JP Kenny -had evinced interest in bidding for the job.
