Thakral Group enters Nepal

To take advantage of market potential in information technology, electronics, manufacturing, property development, hospitality, investment and financial services in Nepal, Thakral Group has joined hands with TIS Nepal Pvt Ltd. TIS Nepal was formally launched today in the presence of business personalities, IT professionals, executives of IBM and TIS, according to TIS Nepal statement.
TIS (Nepal) is a member of Singapore-based Thakral Group. Currently the group operates in over 30 countries with a business turnover of over a billion dollar. TIS, being only a strategic alliance partner for Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan, markets and supports all IBM products and services in these territories through a network of a robust business partners, says a TIS press release.
TIS expects fast growth across Nepal from the present four business partners, namely Mercantile Office Systems, NCAT Trading House Pvt. Ltd., BASE International, and Sachet International. Many customers in Nepal, including those running mission-critical businesses in financial services, insurance, telecommunications, and government have been demanding prompt, efficient, and affordable services from IBM products. By opening the Nepal office, TIS will be able to provide enhanced services to its customers in Nepal, assures TIS during the opening event.
TIS Nepal has adequate IT professionals trained at various IBM training facilities. The key focus of TIS (Nepal) would be to provide pre-sales support and maintenance services for IBM products.
