Kathmandu, September 2:

Toyota Motors today opened its new showroom at Putalisadak following appointment of Mally Automobiles (P) Ltd as its Yaris dealer for Nepal.

Suraj Vaidya, president of United Traders Syndicate, the sole distributor of Toyota vehicles for Nepal, inaugurated the showroom that is located at BJ Bhawan.

Mally Automobiles will exclusively promote Yaris, Toyota’s latest sedan in the market. Toyota Yaris is a subcompact sedan powered with 2NZ-FE 1.3-litre four-cylinder engine, which generates 64kw power at 6000 rpm, and drives through either five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.

First launched in Europe in 1999, the Yaris was named ‘Car of the Year’ in 2000 in Europe.

The Yaris comes with an aluminium alloy unit with dual overhead cams, four valves cylinder, VVT-I variable valve timing, coil-on-plug direct ignition, and electronic throttle control.
