Urge to extend ceasefire

Pokhara, November 23:

Tourism entrepreneurs in Pokhara have urged the Maoists to extend the ceasefire adding that the three-month long ceasefire has had a positive impact in Tourism as well as all other economic sectors.

Maoist declared ceasefire three months ago that is going to end on December 2.

“Government’s apathy towards ceasefire has surprised us”, secretary of regional Hotels’ Association of Nepal (HAN), Pokhara, Biplav Poudel said. He said that the ceasefire has provided tremendous relief for the tourism entrepreneurs. “Our only demand is the extension of the period of ceasefire”, Poudel added. They ho-ped that government will also reciprocate.
