Widen tax net, suggests Joshi

Kaski, June 15:

President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Kush Kumar Joshi asked the government to widen the tax net rather than increasing tax rates.

“At a time when the industries are suffering due to government’s poor policy and donation terror, it would be better to widen the tax net rather than increasing the tax,” he added.

Joshi said the FNCCI is planning a training package for manpower for a secretariat that would work towards building the capacity of district chambers of commerce and industry.

Senior vice-president of the FNCCI Suraj Vaidya said the federation has made entrepreneurs more responsible by forming the Industry and Commerce Council.
