Work harder, faster: Shakya

Kathmandu, January 19:

The progress report of the first four months of the fiscal year 2008-09 of different departments, development projects and programmes under the Ministry of Industries (MoI) was presented today.

Heads of concerned departments, projects, and programmes presented their reports and pointed out different problems and solutions.

According to statistics, 12 projects and programmes under the MoI in the first four month of the present fiscal year achieved an average of 83.6 per cent physical progress and 68 per cent financial progress.

Eight are Priority One projects while four are Priority Two projects.

Minister Shakya pointed out that plans were not being implemented according to policies. MoI secretary Tana Gautam said, “There should be transparency in our plans and policies. The work implementation is going on but the real result hinges on customer satisfaction. Special attention should be paid to that aspect.”
