Working procedure to channelise foreign aid within two months

The government is preparing to develop a working procedure to channelise foreign aids in an effective way in case of a natural disaster.

The decision comes in view of difficulties that surfaced after the devastating earthquake of April 25, in terms of receiving foreign aids and channelising them in an effective way.

Joint Secretary at Home Ministry Rameshwor Dangal said that discussions were being held with experts on making the procedure and that the process would be completed within the

set time.

The procedure is part of the Immediate Reform Action Plan approved by the Council of Ministers on December 10.

Meanwhile, a preliminary draft would be made within three months to draw the structure of manpower and resources of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and other sectors under the National Investigation Department and Home Ministry, according to the action plan.

Likewise, the Home Ministry is preparing for all District Administrative Offices across the country to operate software to distribute computerised citizenship certificates and improve its immigration system to go for online process within fiscal year 2016-17.
