A mix of utility, craftsmanship

Beautiful ceramic works by Korean artist and professor Jang Moosik have been on display at Buddha Gallery, Thamel from February 5. It is an invitational exhibition organised by Family Academia Nepal Camp initiated in 1999, taking place every year in February and October since 2004 under “Nepal - Korea Invitational Exhibition” programme.

There are 31 ceramic items, plates, cups, candle stands, drinking bottles, etc., in all and the prices range from Rs 3,000 to Rs 20,000.

Nepalis artist Hareram has also exhibited his works of art in Seoul in 2004 under the same programme. Family Academia Nepal Camp believes that an invitational art exhibition like this will contribute to preserve and enrich the art and culture of both the countries and make their mutual relationship stronger.

Proceeds from the show will be given to NGO’s for social work. The exhibition will continue till February 15.
