Kathmandu:

A fundraising event for the Tsunami victims of Srilanka is being organised by the 1905 family at Thomas Kilroy 1905, Kantipath on January 29. The main motive of this event is to contribute to those downtrodden children who have lost everything in this terrible killer wave, the most terrible being losing their parents. Even though Nepal itself is going through a tough phase and is facing numerous problems relating to poverty and instability, the fact that these children need help cannot be ignored.

The event will commence with a silent prayer in the presence of Buddhist Lamas, butter lamps will be lit, followed by reflective live music by some of Kathmandu’s finest artistes.

All the artistes, event management team — Malta International — stage crew and student volunteers will be contributing their talent and time to this event. Care Nepal has taken the responsibility to ensure that the funds will be used for the sole cause of these orphans. The tickets are priced at Rs.1200 and two-third of each ticket will be donated in full to the fund.

The organisation has requested one and all to come forward and help these little souls who have very little hope for the future by attending the event and making donations.
