Taste of America served in Kathmandu

It was indeed a good chance for Nepalis to enjoy American varieties. Be it the Barbeque Pork or Corn Bread or Caesar Salad, there were more to try, with choices for vegetarians too like Potato Salad, Vegetarian Barbeque, Red Beans Rice. Cioppino, Ham on Cheese Biscuit, Coleslaw, New York Cheese Cake, Pumpkin Pie and other regional food items were a novelty for many.

"The event is organised to celebrate food. Many Nepalis are immigrating to America and we have been learning about the food culture. I am here to share food business and also help business entrepreneurs and share expertise here in Nepal and also learn about the food culture of the country," shared Chef Mark.

"We are hugely excited to have Mark Tafoya in Nepal for two weeks, to have him demonstrate cooking for you to working with some of our grantees that are trying to support women entrepreneurs who are serving communities with home-based cooking," shared Alaina B Teplitz, US Ambassador at the event.
