A weird weekend

It was a weird weekend for celebs worldwide. Even as controversy kitten Nigar Khan made headlines back home in Norway, Leonardo ‘Aviator’ DiCaprio was struck by a woman with a bottle at a hot Hollywood party. The Norwegian sex bomb has kept hopping back into limelight
time and again. Nigar, who was deported back from India to Norway because of the expiry of her visa earlier this year, has now hit headlines in Norway. As learnt, Nigar took part in a fashion show in Oslo on Saturday 11th of June. And what happened on the catwalk qualifies her to be called the Janet Jackson of Scandinavia. The show was quite a big event with huge gathering and top models like Miss Norway walking the ramp. When Nigar was walking down the catwalk in her feline and slinky style, the top of her tiny two-piece dress came off suddenly. It took Nigar a few seconds to quickly put the top back on, but the shutterbugs did not lose those precious seconds and swiftly captured the moment in their cameras. The next day, Norweigian papers were full of speculations about the incident. It was alleged that the top slip-off was accidental.
Nigar seems to have some appetite for such controversies. Last year, she was in the eye of a controversy regarding her semi-nude photos in a Norwegian men’s magazine. In her avatar as the Bollywood item girl, Nigar set new standards of skin-show by shooting an ‘American Beauty’-like scene (for movie ‘Hello Kaun Hai’) in which she was shown lying in a bathtub with nothing more than just a few delicate flower petals covering her assets. DiCaprio was hit with a bottle while attending a Hollywood party given by Paris Hilton’s ex-lover and needed about a dozen stitches to close a wound near his ear, People magazine reported Friday on its Website. The magazine said DiCaprio was at a party at about 4 a.m. Friday at the Hollywood Hills home of Rick Salomon, ex-boyfriend of Paris Hilton, when a woman struck him with what appeared to be a beer bottle. No ambulance was called but friends took the actor to a hospital where he received about a dozen stitches near his ear, People said.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s press relations office could not immediately confirm the report. “I have received no notification of that sort. That doesn’t mean that nothing happened,
but normally we would get those kind of notifications here,” said Officer Jason Lee, a police spokesman. A call to DiCaprio’s spokesman, Ken Sunshine, was not immediately returned. However, People said Sunshine confirmed in a statement that the actor was assaulted.
“While leaving a small private gathering, Leo was attacked by a woman who was trespassing and had been repeatedly asked to leave the property,” the statement said. “The attacker struck him with a glass object before being restrained by witnesses.” The attack was not expected to affect DiCaprio’s work on a Martin Scorsese movie, The Departed, which is shooting in Boston and New York, People said.
