Reality shows are popular and a reality show with a differnce is being aired from September 12.

Titled ‘Super Acting Competition’, the show is dedicated to all the aspiring actors and is directed by Suraj Subba. The panel of judges comprises Deepak Shrestha, Sunil Thapa, Basundhara Bhusal, Narayan Puri and Nir Shah. The Kathmandu auditions and selections round have been completed.

One of the organisers Mani Ram Kuikel of Systematic Electro-Gait (SEGA) said they had recieved 1,497 applications from Kathmandu alone, out of which they selected 252 in the pre-selection round and 32 among them made it to the final round.

They will be coming round to the other cities of Nepal and even Sikkim and Darjeeling in India to pick talents from those places too after Tihar.

The winners of the competition — male and female — will each receive a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.

The Super Acting Competition airs on Nepal Television every Tuesday from September 12 at 9:10 pm.
