Kathmandu :

All young and talented musicians cheer up! Come, sing and win an opportunity to perform in United Kingdom for a live audience of over two million. The list doesn’t end here. You will also win a handsome amount of $ 100,000 and world tour in 2007.

The contest is organised by GBOB International limited — GBOB is the world’s biggest music contest for pop and rock bands. The organisation strives to bring the best new talents from all over the world to a wider audience. The organisation was launched in 2004 in which over 1000 bands from 16 countries had joined the competition and played to a live audience of over 50,000. This year 36 countries are participating in the concert.

Griffin Ads, together with Nepal Tourism Board, is organising The Global Battle of the Band Nepal, in November 2006. The event will be managed by Mice Ad Nepal.

GBOB qualifying heats will be organised in Kathmandu, Dharan and Pokhara in the month of August and September and GBOB Nepal National Final will be held in Kathmandu in November. The winning band at the national level will participate in the World Finals at Astoria, London on December 10-12.
