Kathmandu:

The close camp at Radisson of 20 contestants of Samsung Nepali Tara was over on May 29 and more groomed aspirant singers are preparing for the grand finale. On the sidelines of training programmes, all 20 participants had a tour of Annapurna Post and The Himalayan Times’ office. Samsung Nepali Tara — a hunt for the singing star — is the biggest show in Nepali television and is aired every Saturday on Nepal Television. Annapurna Post is the official media for the show.

The contestants toured different departments of both of the newspapers and were briefed on the working and different aspects of newspapers.

Since Samsung Nepali Tara has gone into air, with every episode, it has been able to draw more and more audiences and has emerged as the best show in Nepali television history.

Meanwhile, Alok Shree, one of the judges of Samsung Nepali Tara, has completed composing all the songs for the upcoming album in which top 10 finalists will be rendering their voices. Expectations will soar high from the album because this will follow Aalokshree’s record breaking ‘Upahaar’ which recently won Best Album of the Year award in 7th Annual Image Awards.

“I have left no stones unturned to make this a mega album. The arrangers, Amul Karki and Phanindra Rai are the best in business. There have been no compromises in music. I am confident that those who make to the Samsung Nepali Tara’s top 10 will do full justice. I have watched them grow from the very beginning and have full faith in their capabilities,” says Alokshree.
