Close pals of Jennifer Aniston fear she could be set for another heartbreak as her new love interest John Mayer may just be in the relationship “for fun”.

The serial dating rocker is said to be just “having a fling” with the 39-year-old actress. The new-magazine.co.uk reports her friends are saying this because Mayer has “never been faithful to anyone”.

“John says that Jen and he have a physical connection as deep as their spiritual one. But he also said he’s categorising this as a summer fling for now,” said a friend.

But another friend said that’s not true. “He’s a serial dater, but he’s never cheated on a girl! He’s making the effort to fly to Miami to be with Jen. That says something.”

The two spent last weekend in Miami celebrating the end of filming for her latest film, Marley And Me.

An onlooker said, “They were holding hands and being extremely cuddly. They spent the majority of their time sitting on a couch in the courtyard, away from everyone else.”
