Sundance fest

KATHMANDU: It is time again for the Sundance festival. Organised by Moksh Bar, this musical event titled Moksh at The Last Resort will be held on April 28-29.

According to musician Nirakar Yakthumba, there will be performances by 13 musicians from countries like Nepal, India, Spain, Brazil and the US. Eastern, Western, fusion and dhime baja of Thimi will be played with performances by bands like Rudraksha and Stupa.

An overnight event, the main concert will take place on April 28, whereas a musical workshop and an open jam session is scheduled for April 29. Ticket, priced Rs 2,000 per head, includes transportation, food and tent accommodation, is available at Moksh Bar (5526212). — HNS

African nite

KATHMANDU: The Jazzabell Café will celebrate the best of Africa as it resounds with the strains of African beats on April 27. African DJ, Walter, an expatriate from Kenya, is all set to bring the house down with his selection of African music popular with African expatriates from Sudan, Kenya, Liberia and others posted in Kathmandu.

The African Nite also offers an exciting array of African food ranging from the favourite fried or grilled fish (snapper) with rice to Peanut Soup and Fufu, Injera and Ugali.
