AROUND TOWN: All sushi lovers unite!

KATHMANDU: The food that’s in is none other than than sushi. The popularity of this Japanese delicacy is considered more an art form. To satisfy the sushi lovers of Kathmandu and also to introduce this lip-smacking cuisine to those who are a little ignorant of its goodness, JBar has announced a Sushi Festival on March 25 from 7:00 pm onwards.

“JBar is a very modern bar and sushi is a very authentic dish. We are trying to create a very interesting contrast between the two with this festival. Sushi tastes well and is ideal for keeping oneself healthy. The combination of sushi with sake (Japanese liquor) will certainly be a grand treat for our visitors,” expressed Gagan Pradhan, managing director, Himalayan Java and JBar.

A total of seven to eight varieties of sushi will be prepared on live stations at the bar, and along with it, you can munch on some other mouth watering Japanese cuisine like avocado roll, tempura, yakitori and gomaya.

Even the ambience and set-up will be aptly done up to give the entire event an authentic Japanese look. “We will have some good Japanese music, screening of a popular Japanese movie and the hostesses will be serving everyone dressed in beautiful kimonos. Since the bar will be turned into a live kitchen, our guests can also witness the art of making Sushi and also pick up their own ingredients,” added Pradhan.

(Tickets Rs 1,500 inclusive of unlimited Sushi and two drinks. Only limited tickets available)
