Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, in Pune to shoot for A Mighty Heart, on October 6 gave the slip to mediapersons and took a round of the city in an auto-rickshaw.

Angelina and Brad boarded an auto-rickshaw from a basement parking lot, while a car deliberately drove out of the main exit to divert the attention of the large number of journalists who had gathered at the hotel.

Reporters and photographers have been scouring the city for any information on the stars. A cameraman of a TV news channel was able to get a fleeting glimpse of the star couple, which meant partial success for the mediamen as many got to share the “photo feed”.

They are here for the shooting schedule of the film based on the murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. It is based on a book of the same name by Pearl’s wife Marianne about his abduction and killing by militants in Pakistan in 2002. Angelina plays Marianne in the film being co-produced by Pitt’s company.

Besides a couple of bungalows here that have been booked for the shoot, rooms have been booked in two posh hotels for the star couple and crew members of the film unit. — Agencies
