Inter-school English contest

The Inter-school English Literary Contest was held on 16 June and was organised by St Xavier’s School. The students participated in two different categories: classes VII and VIII and classes IX and X. Students from classes VII and VIII wrote short stories while the students from classes IX and X wrote essays. In the short story category 17 schools participated with a total of 61 entries. The positions of the competition for Classes VII and VIII are: First - Sabrina Singh (Shuvatara School), Second - Rupshil Sarawagi (The Elite’s Co-Ed School), Third - Rajani Shrestha (Nava Prabhat School). In the essay competition there were 17 schools with the total of 64 participants. The positions of the competition for classes IX and X are: First - Shama Pandey (Shuvatara School), Second - Rachana Chettri (St. Mary’s School), Third - Shreya Neupane (Rato Bangla School).

Let’s explore!!

On 29 and 30 June, students of classes VII, VIII and IX of Shuvatara School visited various places about town as part of their social studies and environment excursion. They really enjoyed the educational tour and were obliged to their teachers for taking them there. They visited Gurudwara, Kupondole, Catholic Church, Lalitpur, Krishna Mandir, Patan, Jama Masjid, Ratnapark, Jain Mandir, Kamalpokhari, Swayambhunath, Chauni, Satya Sai Baba Mandir, Naxal, the Pharping Hydroelectricity Plant, Khane Pani Sansthan nearby and the Hetauda Cement Factory.
