CAN’s first software expo

Kathmandu: Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) is organising the first software expo at United World Trade Centre from May 2 till May 5.The expo CAN Softech 2007 promises the Valley denizens a good opportunity to pick their choice of software as well as get information about it. Around 50 participants including local and international software companies, government ministries and departments will be putting up more than 75 stalls. A seminar on Information, Communication and Technology is also scheduled on May 3. Amrit Bahadur Thapa, coordinator of the expo says, “This event will exclusively focus on software. It will also seek to promote software industry in the country by drawing the attention of the policy makers and other visiting ASOCIO members”. Tickets for the expo is priced at Rs 200.
