The fund raising ‘Charity Bash’ organised by the non-governmental organisation Women for Human Rights (WHR) in association with Radisson Hotel on July 12 was a big success. The evening had people from different fields of work, whether education or business or social sector, attending the bash that was held for a cause.

Those gathered enjoyed their drinks at the cocktail reception, while chatting with friends and acquaintances and visiting the stalls put up at the event. The stalls had products made by single women supported by WHR.

The critically acclaimed movie Water by Deepa Mehta was screened. There was a live music after the movie followed by lavish buffet dinner.

The event was organised to raise fund for two projects — WHR Opportunity Fund and Chahhari Women’s Shelter for the single women. The WHR Opportunity Fund is created to provide education for 285 children and 20 single women, and the Chahhari Women’s Shelter looks after the immediate needs of single women by providing temporary housing and legal and medical services.
