Classic evenings around town

The evenings have become long and the breeze cool. What would be a better way to spend such an evening than listening to good music with friends? Not to worry for such evenings are about to begin in the City.

Surya Classic, one of Nepal’s most premium and sought-after brands, is presenting a series of exclusive musical evenings with jazz, blues and fusion by some of the City’s leading bands, including Stupa, Looza, and Cadenza, at some of the most premium bars in town.

Titled ‘Classic Encounters’, the evenings begin on May 30, 8:00 pm onwards, simultaneously with Stupa at Moksh, Pulchowk and Looza at the Liquid Lounge, Lazimpat.

Stupa is Nirakar Yakthumba on bass, Yuburaj Chettri on rhythm and vocals, Sanjay Shrestha on drums, Marino on saxophone and Bimal Gurung on guitar.

The band specialises in funky jazz, with a mix of precussion and jingbe.

Looza comprises Lochan Rijal, Sharad Rajkarnikar, Rijju Tuladhar, Prazol Kansakar and Sunit Kansakar. Looza plays funk/blues, and instrumentals mixed with raagas.

The concerts promise to be an exclusive event promising high global standards in keeping with the high profile and premium image of the brand Surya Classic. (Entry is by invitation only)
