Cowell can’t handle spoof

LONDON: Simon Cowell and record producer pal Pete Waterman have fallen out over a spoof

programme mocking the music mogul’s numerous reality TV shows.

Waterman appeared on British comedian Peter Kay’s Britain’s Got The Pop Factor... And Possibly A New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly On Ice show earlier this month, which pokes fun at all reality programmes on TV. But Cowell, who produces and features on shows like America’s Got Talent, American Idol and The X Factor, has failed to see the funny side and has cut off all communication with Waterman as a result.

Waterman says, “Simon do-esn’t have a sense of humour. He’s one of my best mates and we talk all the time but he’s fallen out with me.”
