Damak locals dance to Nepathya’s tunes

KATHMANDU:

The band Nepathya, that is on a its nation-wide ‘Shanti ko lagi Shikshya’ (Education for Peace) tour, performed at the Damak cinema hall on December 26. This was stated in a press release issued by nepalaya.

And the band’s frontman Amrit Gurung was able to keep his packed audience captive for two hours.

Nepathya has been holding its Shanti ko lagi Shikshya since the last four years and has been advocating a clean and healthy learning environment for our children. While advocating for such an environment, Nepathya has also taken the chance to entertain their fans all around. The statement quoted a folk artiste from an earlier generation, Laxmi Joshi, saying, “Earlier we used to sing with less instruments. But the advancement in technology has added a different attraction to a performance.” Lining up for the artistes’ autographs, a Standard XII student Bina Bhattarai pointed to her crushed uniform (which had been crushed as she danced to Nepathya’s beats) and said, “I danced through the entire programme. One shouldn’t miss a chance that has been given to me at my age, no?”

The local co-organiser of the tour was Himalaya Madhyamik Vidyalaya. The tour will move to Dhankuta, Lahan and Hetauda.
