Deepak keeps busy

KATHMANDU: Deepak Bajracharya has done uncountable shows this year and last year. Every now and then you hear of his solo concerts. Not a month back at the press conference of ‘Rock Trends’ he said that he is not going to participate in any more concerts for 2060 but this proved to be wrong. He clarifies, “Yes, I had announced that it will be my last concert but I had meant that for open concert only.”

A week back he had a solo concert titled ‘Let the Children Walk’. Again on March 12 he had another unplugged show ‘Deepak Bajracharya and The Shadows’. Unfortunately the show was cancelled but again on March 27 he has another show!

We are fed up of hearing the same songs again and again. He says, “As an artiste it is my profession to sing and I will continue doing so as long as my audiences don’t get bored with it. And so far I don’t think they are bored listening to me. That is the main reason why my shows are continuously organised.” He adds, “If my listeners had not liked my tracks then I would not be doing so many shows. As soon as my audience gets bored listening my numbers I will stop singing.”

“Oh Amira”, “Kali Kali”, “Ju Ju Na Na..” among others are his constants at every performance. “Those songs are my identity!”

But for a change he has added two news songs in his latest repertoire. — HNS
